Apple, Strawberry & Rose Syrup Crumble

For 6 people
Ingredients:
- 2 punnets of strawberries
- 2 ripe apples
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp rose syrup
- ½ lemon
For the crumble topping:
- 70g rolled oats
- 120g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 120g melted unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp rose syrup
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Wash the strawberries and apples, then peel the apples.
- Cut the strawberries in half and dice the apples into small cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberries, apples, flour, lemon juice, and rose syrup. Pour this mixture into the bottom of a baking pan.
- In a seperate bowl, mix the oats, cooled butter, flour, baking powder, and rose syrup. Mix well (using your hands works best).
- Crumble this mixture over the fruit and bake for about 30 mins.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
